Do not bring dog under-the-counter!

If seller doesn’t want to show dog’s papers and examine markings on them clearly, dog shouldn’t be bought from him. Buying illegally imported dog is always straight support for smugglers and unethical dog breeding.

Smuggling pets is not worth it

Puppies, which are imported without obeying import requirements, are brought to Finland in increasing amount. Action is already so wide, that illegally imported pets can already be called as business. Smuggled pets always come together with plenty of diseases. Risks of this action mustn’t be taken lightly, for, in worst cases, smuggled pet may bring with it diseases, which are also fatal to people.

Animal protector should also be worried about smuggled animals’ past: almost every under-the-counter dog’s tracks lead to puppy mill, where animals are worth no more than the money they bring to their owners in little time.
