In Spain local hunting dogs, galgos and podencos, are used as help in hunting. The living conditions of the dogs are often horrendous and they are treated cruelly. After the hunting season the dogs that have performed "badly" or are too costly are killed, often by hanging them in trees. This traditional method of killing is meant to cause as much pain as possible for the dog and to guarantee future hunting luck.
Tell the Spanish authorities that you are shocked over this kind of treatment of hunting dogs.
Tell them, that you will not use money to support a country that treats it's animals like this.
Tell them that you will not travel to Spain until the situation has been rectified.
Tell them that you will boycott Spanish products until the horrible and cruel treatment of dogs stops.

"I was horrified to learn about the suffering of Spanish greyhounds, or galgos and podencos in Spain. It is unacceptable that the dogs are subjected to this kind of barbaric fate. I am writing to You to inform you that I will not spend my tourist money in your country as long as these abuses are allowed to continue. I will also boycott all Spanish-made products unless this abominable practise is stopped."
