The Day of Stupid Tourists

Wednesday 20.5.

Crisan, Mila 23

In short, well-slept night behind and the boat trip is on right now. This part, only a side canal, is about the same width as Kokemäenjoki in Pori. Damn pretty, no more to say. On the left side one can see cows and horses.

Everything good ends – we landed and did some shopping. One multinutritional meal follows another: cheese, bread, juice, water, oranges.

Enjoyable time continued, this time it was waiting for a boat to Mila 23. Reading by a river, soon again sailing.

The prices on Danube area are expensive. This we found out in Mila.

I've asked mum to send me a bit more money. I was sure there would be a bank automat in Mila. In Crisan there wasn't.

What was in Mila 23? A harbour, shop, bar and houses. We got some pieces of advice about gazdas and we wanted finally to eat some fish, man! The gazda we found and the lady were nice. Also was the price... but we would get some food also... The room was nice and we laid our money, which wasn't too much, to the beds and started counting. We weren't too happy. Never, never trust the being of bank automats.

On the boat staff had spoken that we could sleep there. It seemed a good idea, at least after having count our money. The boat to Tulcea was leaving very early so we would be ready on the boat and there wouldn't be need to hurry up in the morning. We packed and went to say the lady that maybe we would prefer sleeping on the boat. She was sad for us and didn't recommend three girls to sleep on a boat. We could sleep in the house with the money we had.

- Prices are high on this area. We have to get our living from something.

Of course. She was right.

We turned back to the room and felt so fu*king stupid. Although feeling was good when she made food for us. The soup was chicken soup (my first piece of chicken in two years or something) and it wasn't only an aroma but there was almost a whole darn chicken on our plates!
