Off from the boat and some sea

From Tulcea to St. George

Monday 18.5.2009

A huge breakfast greeted us in the morning! We also saw some pictures about Olimpia's family.

Luckily they had a schedule of the boat going to St. George. Today is a boat going. The mum walked with us to thKuva: Tiia Venerantae railwaystation and we bought train tickets back from Tulcea to Bucharest on 24.5. already now. We didn't know exactly our route but anyway I should be back in Bucharest by Monday morning (25th).

The harbour was right next to the station and after buying the train tickets we went to buy boat tickets. That wasn't so easy. There were strict open times, and even when it was right time, we had to work a bit to get the tickets. But we got them.

The boat trip was so good. Luckily there will be plenty of those on the coming days.

If you go sailing on a sunny day, remember sun lotion and a scarf!

St. George (old fisherman's village, Russian is also spoken, Sfantul Gheorghe in Romanian)

We got off from the boat. There was only otonava043ne path, people went to both directions. Houses and the whole village seemed to be really beautiful. We just didn't have any idea where the would be a shop or anything - except that we knew the direction where Danube becomes Black Sea. That was our goal.

We walked, walked and we walked. The village started to look more and more touristical and luxury. Obviously rich tourists were welcome.

On some point we just crossed away from the path and we came to a camping area. With food!

We stopped and ate some fish and cheese.

Forward, forward. The landscape didn't look so much like sea, but we knew it was there.

And, we got our reward. The sea opened in front of us. No one else on the beach, which was by the way really clean (Yyterissäkin on enemmän roskia).

We put our things on the sand and felt ”quite” satisfied. Girls went swimming, I didn't. The happiness w

as something I can't describe. We sent messages to our mums that we did it. We are by Black sea!

Some other people came to the beach and talked to us. We found them a bit disturbing and changed place. Hopefully they won't come after us.

The sun was going down, moon and stars started their day. Neither of us maybe slept so much, the spirit was great. It was amazingly warm and a bit cold at the same time, the sea had its impact on the weather.
